It used to be that being in love was cool
Then as I grew up
I realized that IT's just for fools
It’s nothing but fleeting feelings
Overloaded with passion
Something to have
Like the latest fashion
That being said
You’d think I know better?
Ha! Fooled ya! I’m worse than the others
I wait to fall desperately in love
And hope that it lasts
Forever and a day
But alas! It’s never going to be that way
Why so? To me should you ask
To answer that
Would be the hardest task
I meet, I love, I give it my all
Realizing later that perhaps
I’ve given too much
And when that happens
I try and get away
By finding someone else
Or the likes of such
