Emptiness 'n Hope - 1991

There is a certain part of me
Filled with emptiness & uncertainty
At times, I get so frustrated with life, myself
And wish that I could put my head on a shelf
To rid myself of the thoughts, worries, terrible nightmares
And run far away from those horrid stares
Stares from people I don’t know or can’t see
Stares that feel as though they’re burning through me
That’s when I need someone to turn to
Someone who’ll listen, advise, understand
Perhaps that someone could be you…

Smile -1991

What is it about you that attracts me so?
I sat, I thought and wondered a while
And came to the conclusion that it is your smile
Coz your smile holds something magical
And your touch fills me with something mystical
It makes me whole, and the world seem so bright
Putting to shame the sun’s radiant light
I thought perhaps all this was my imagination
And so I searched, yet found nothing to lead me to your smile’s revelation
I looked once more, this time in the mirror
At my own smile – it made all the difference
That’s when I knew –if there’s anything I love
It’s your terrific smile, and above all, it’s just plain You!

From 1991

I tried not once but many a time to tell you how I feel
But I never seem to get the right words in my mind
Now since you’re going away, I’ve got no choice
So here’s a couple of lines – that I hope will make up for my voice
The feelings that I feel are so raw and true
There are times when I go insane thinking about you
Times when I’m depressed and sad
Cause the only one I Love is driving me mad

Every day and every night seems like eternity
Time just drags on and on without you
When I think of the time we spent together
It makes me want to break down and cry
To try & wipe away the hurt and the pain
Cause now since you’re away, I’ve just got memories
Memories of the times we shared, the ups & downs
Times when we both held each other close
And gazed into the depths of each other eyes
When I think of those few yet cherished moments
I realize that its those very memories
That keep me going and that I love none but you
